Last Thursday, the Year 9 Drama class presented their performance of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Students in this class not only had to perform the play from memory; they were also required to direct scenes, source costumes and props, as well as design and arrange the set. The students elected to present this play in the round – a stage configuration which is challenging to perform in as the audience is literally in a circle surrounding the performers. All of the students did a wonderful job in their performance and should be commended on the way they worked together to create a unique piece of theatre.
