Marist Regional College’s Senior Economics students were given the opportunity to join an online experience with Ivan Colhoun. The experience was organised by the BIG group (Begin the dream, Imagine the possibilities, Go for it), in the hopes to expand the pathways of students on the North West Coast. Ivan Colhoun is the Chief Economist, Markets for National Australia Bank. He joined NAB in November 2014 and is responsible for the Australian Economics, FX Research and Rates Strategy functions for NAB Markets. In the session, students could ask anything they wanted to know about Economics or Ivan’s career pathway. Students gained a better understanding of ‘real-life economics’ branching off their technical knowledge gained throughout the year. Marist Regional College is grateful to have been given opportunities to expand the pathways of its students, having successful talented people such as Ivan share their experience.
