Top 6 finishers from each year group have been invited to represent the College in the NSATIS/All-Schools Cross-Country event. This takes place on Thursday 13 June, at Symmons Plains.

Anyone seeking further information about this event should see Consent2Go or contact Mr Lutwyche.

Junior Boys Soccer

Well done to the Year 7 and 8 Boys Soccer team who have been representing the College in the NSATIS-North Division. In the 5 weeks of the season to this point, the team has achieved some excellent results. Recently, they defeated Leighlands Christian School 4 – 2 and St Brendan Shaw Green 3 – 2. With one game left in the season, the team will need some results to go their way to finish on top of the ladder.

NWJFU Football

7 Boys Marist White – Had a narrow victory over Parklands (34 – 30) and lost to school mates Marist Blue (36-74), but they can hold their heads high after a great display against their older peers. We are waiting for confirmation from NWJFU to see who they play next in finals.

8 Boys Marist Blue – Remain undefeated against Western opposition and top the ladder. They recently defeated Burnie High and school mates Marist White 74 – 36 and are awaiting the draw for the next rounds of finals.

9/10 Boys – It’s been a busy couple of weeks with some big road trips for the team. With the team travelling to West Coast (Queenstown) (127 – 19 winners) and Smithton (118 – 22 winners) back-to-back, before hosting neighbours Burnie High School (91 – 12 winners). The team is undefeated with 2 round matches to play in the Western Conference.

SATIS Football

Boys SATIS Football finished up last week, with our final home game of the season. It was a tough game against the undefeated St Patrick’s College, with the MRC Boys going down 59 to 100.  A significant mention of thanks to Coach Mr X Williams, Trainer Mrs D Scott, and Harcombe Trainee Mr J Little, who supported the team throughout the 5-week competition this year.

It is a large commitment for all players involved in the program, travelling away from the College and home, often getting back late at night. We appreciate everyone giving up their time to be involved in the program. We would also like to acknowledge and give thanks to local NWFL clubs and their coaches and the Tasmanian Devils representative team staff, for allowing students to represent the College in school football.

Term 3 NSATIS Sport Sign-Ups

Sign-ups for these sports have now closed, and students will receive information about trials (where required) in the coming weeks.
