NSATIS Sport

The NSATIS Basketball Girls 1st and Boys 2nd teams have now completed their seasons. The girls finished 5th on the ladder after a hard-fought season with a young team. The boys finished their season with a couple of narrow losses, which ultimately ended their chances of making the finals. Matthew Vincent and Greyson Boxhall continued their good shooting form.

The NSATIS tennis teams finished their regular season matches, and all successfully progressed to the NSATIS semi-finals. Our Girls and Boys 1st teams both took on St Brendan Shaw College at home on Wednesday afternoon. Both teams continued their dominant run, winning through to the NSATIS Final, and giving them a chance to make the state SATIS final with a win next Wednesday. For anyone wanting to come along to cheer on the tennis teams in their NSATIS final, they play at the Burnie Tennis Centre at 3:30pm. The Boys 2nd team travelled to Launceston to take on a strong Grammar side, but unfortunately, their season ended with a loss.

Wylie Jackson tackled the 2000m School Boys Single Skull in the Head of the River at Lake Barrington on 15th March, finishing 4th in a time of 8:19.26.

Term 2 sports signups have now closed, with meetings to be held for all sports during week 8 (next week) at recess or lunch. Notifications will be advertised on MEL once meetings are confirmed. Meetings will be compulsory if students wish to participate, as meeting numbers will finalise our entries into the NSATIS competitions.

Our SATIS Boys 1st Football team has been locked away and the first game will be at Campbell Town on Wednesday 9th April, taking on Hutchins. A Consent2Go will be sent out to parents/guardians next week with further details.
