All NSATIS Sports teams have made a fantastic start across the opening two rounds of Term 3 NSATIS Sport.
Our first round of home matches against Launceston Christian School saw a thrilling two goal win for our 2nds Netballers, with Year 10 students, Olivia Wedd and Hannah Stewart leading the charge. The boys’ soccer claimed a hard-fought 4-2 win with Toby Anderson and Frankie Roberts adding two goals apiece in a great performance. Our girls’ soccer team won a tight match 2-1 with the experienced Enya and Georgia Anderson both scoring.
Our second round of matches against Scotch Oakburn in Launceston was highlighted by a strong 12-0 win from the girls hockey with Meah Leary bagging 5 goals, and 3 each from Zayna Jackson and Madison Clark. The boys’ soccer continued their strong start with a 6-1 win including a hat-trick from Ben Saint-John and a strong performance from Declan Cahill. The girls’ soccer claimed a 1-1 draw with Lucy Thompson scoring, Zoe Maynard leading the defence and Year 7 student, Tully Parke performing strongly. The 1sts Netball started their season with a convincing victory, with Olivia Harman impressing in her debut NSATIS match. Our 2nds netballers once again played a thrilling match, coming away with a 1 goal victory after Anna de Santis made a late shot.
A fantastic start by all of our teams and with upcoming matches against Launceston Grammar and St Brendan-Shaw, our teams hope to continue their positive starts.
