Last week, Emma Dent and I took six Year 10 social justice warriors to the bi-annual AMSSA Conference at Catherine McAuley College in Bendigo.

We enjoyed listening to keynote speakers from Mercy schools around the country and visited the Central Deborah Gold Mine and The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion. We were reminded of the challenges of poverty and climate change that people face, particularly in the Pacific region, and we were able to interact with people who do work both in Australia and overseas for the organisation Mercy Works.

We look forward to continuing to implement social justice events here at the College and in the local community, as well as growing our social justice group into 2025.
