Feast Day is a special occasion for our school community, a time when we come together to celebrate our shared values, traditions, and the spirit of unity that defines Marist Regional College. It is an opportunity for students and staff to join in various activities and festivities that promote a sense of belonging and camaraderie.

Here are some key details about the upcoming Feast Day:

Date:  Friday 23 August 2024
Time:  All day event
Attendance:  Compulsory for all students
Mass and Blessing:  We will begin the day with a special Mass to reflect on the values that guide us and seek blessings for our school community
BBQ Lunch:  Provided for all students
Workshops, Activities, Games and Sports:  Throughout the day, there will be various workshops and activities that emphasise teamwork, creativity, and personal growth. These activities are designed to inspire our students and encourage their holistic development.

Feast Day is also an opportunity for friendly competition and sportsmanship. Students will have the chance to participate in organised games and sports activities, fostering a sense of healthy competition and teamwork.

We believe that Feast Day is not only a day of celebration, but also a chance for our students to experience a deep sense of community and belonging. It is an occasion that aligns with our school values and ethos, allowing us to come together as one Marist family.

Please ensure that your child is prepared for the event by dressing appropriately (casual clothes or any special instructions communicated by the school for a particular activity), bringing any required materials, and having a positive and respectful attitude towards their peers, teachers, and the activities planned.

We are all looking forward to a wonderful Feast Day!

Deputy Principal: Pastoral Care and Wellbeing

Memory is the diary that we all carry about with us.”

This quote by Oscar Wilde is a timely reminder that we need to take care of our minds. In the busyness of our daily schedules, we can often get caught up. We need to prioritise and perhaps make a note to remind us of things.

My reminder for this time of the term, is uniform. Please ensure all students are in their full winter uniform each day. If by chance, life happens, please ensure your student has a written explanation for their Pastoral Care teacher to provide a Uniform Card. If your student is missing any items of the uniform, please utilise the Uniform Shop which is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00am – 4:00pm.

It has been noticed by staff, that too many sports uniforms are being worn, and sometimes incorrectly.

I ask for your continued support and assistance regarding this matter; it is important for our students to take pride in wearing the Marist Regional College uniform.
