Parent Teacher Feedback Meetings – Tuesday 8 August 

Our Term Three Parent Teacher Feedback Meetings will be held in Week 3 on Tuesday 8 August. Details on how to book a meeting were sent out with the 7-10 Report letters on the final day of Term 2. Senior College reports were made available this week.  

Subject Selection – Tuesday 15 August 

During Pastoral Care, all Year Levels have now received talks regarding the Subject Selection process for 2024. Students received physical booklets containing information on potential subjects which parents/guardians can also access here:

We highly recommend students and parents/guardians attend our Subject Advice Night which provides an opportunity to have further conversations with key teachers regarding subject selection. Learning Area Leaders, Year Level Coordinators and Mrs Emily Sass will also be available for advice on the night. 

This event is open to all students currently in Years 7 to 11 who will shortly select their subjects for 2024.  

When: Tuesday 15 August 20223
Time: 3:30pm to 7:00pm
Where: Marian Centre (upstairs & downstairs) & the Cradle Coast Trade Training Centre. 

This is an opportunity to: 

  • Find out more about the subjects on offer in 2024. 
  • Speak to Subject Teachers, Learning Area Leaders and Heads of Departments. 
  • Learn more about Senior College, the ATAR, TCE and Career Pathways.
  • Learn more about Vocational Education & Training (VET) programs. 
  • Ensure that students make the best choices when selecting subjects online.

Organisations that will be present on the night, located in the Cradle Coast Trade Training Centre will be:

  • University of Tasmania
  • St Thomas Aquinas Cadetship 

 2024 Year 10 Packages of Learning Information Session 

During the evening at 5:30pm, an Information Session will be held for students and parents/guardians interested in learning more about our Year 10 Packages of Learning Program located in the Colin Theatre. Please register interest here https://forms.office.com/r/Ecs7X8aCWY 

Café9 will also be open for either dine-in or take-away. There will be a wide selection of hot and cold dishes that have been purposefully made by our Hospitality and Cookery students, as well as delectable sweet treats. This forms a major part of student assessment so a large volume of patronage would be appreciated.

Tuesday 15 August – Subject Advice Evening from 3:30pm –7:00pm 

Thursday 17 August – Online Subject Selection opens during Pastoral Care 

Sunday 20 August – Online Subject Selection closes 

Monday 21 August – Web preferences receipt – submission to Pastoral Care Group Leader 

Year 10 and 11 Pathway Planning Meetings 

Our Pathway Planning Meetings are underway with our Year 10 and 11 students and their families. Please note that these are compulsory for Year 10 students and Year 11 students are welcome to participate.
