Young adolescents in years 7 and 8 flourish when their academic, pastoral and social needs are met to help them to transition from primary to secondary education. We want our students to become creative thinkers, problem solvers and solution seekers throughout their school years and into the rest of their lives. This is why we focus on literacy and numeracy, combined with essential skills and knowledge for 21st century learners.
We see each student as a whole person, and support their development with pastoral care, school–parent partnerships, teacher–student and peer relationships. Our students have extended contact with a core group of teachers, so they flourish in a safe and collaborative learning and teaching environment.
We have a dedicated Middle Years area: the Chanel Centre for Year 7 students and the McAuley Centre for Year 8 students.
