The Year 7 and 8 students participated in an Aboriginal and Torres Strait performance by Ryka Ali and his sister Billie.
Students were immersed in a cultural experience beginning with a smoking ceremony where Aboriginal language, knowledge, dance, and stories were shared.
Staff and students were active participants in language and song and dance, with Ryka and Billie changing perspectives by sharing the Torres Strait Islander stories and cultural experiences close to them.
