With the recent celebrations for Senior students finishing their schooling journey at MRC, it has been a relatively quiet start to Term 4 on the sporting front.

In Week 2, the Champion House, winners of the 2024 Richard Lakeland Cup were announced at the school assembly. Points are accrued by houses throughout the year from the three carnivals (Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country), however students can also earn points for their house in a number of non-sporting ways such as academic challenges, reading challenges and debating, among others.

Congratulations to the winning house for 2024 – FRAYNE.

Frayne had a fantastic year winning both the Athletics and Swimming Carnivals, and despite finishing 4th in the Cross Country, were able to accrue enough points to win the trophy.

Congratulations to the House Captains Layne Dixon and Zac Spinks, as well as ‘Frayne Train’ driver Mrs Nicki Rogers who is very passionate about participation and the driving force behind the success of the team. Frayne most recently won the Richard Lakeland Cup in 2022.
