Tasmanian All Schools MTB Championships:
On Friday 20 May, the All-Schools MTB Championships took place in glorious weather at Trevallyn Nature Recreation Area, Launceston. In what was an early morning start, 23 students loved the opportunity to represent Marist in the rapidly growing sport of Mountain Biking. A great day for all involved.
SATIS/NSATIS Senior Football:
Week 2 of Term 2, saw our Senior SATIS and NSATIS Sport Rosters commence at Scotch Oakburn Park, Launceston.
The SATIS (state-wide) Boys Senior Team played Scotch Oakburn in what was a challenging but rewarding match in round 1. The boys then travelled to Campbell Town in Week 3 to play Hutchins where they improved immensely and put up a great fight. The boys will look to have a strong finish to their season.
Our Girls NSATIS Senior Team also played Scotch Oakburn in round 1. It was great to see a lot of young players involved and take some learnings out of the match. For round 2, the team travelled to St Patrick’s College where they narrowly went down by 12 points.
