Demolition works are continuing in the southwest corner, with most of the old MDT structure now removed and a large portion of the site bulk out completed ready for the plumbers to begin their civil work.
In addition to the Technology Centre Project, we also have several other smaller projects on the horizon, all at varying stages of planning:
Student Car Park Walkway
During the upcoming Term break, it is hoped we will have completed the construction of a pedestrian path connecting the new student car park to the existing path on Marist Drive.
Lift/Link Library & Science
Plans are almost complete for the construction of a new lift and staircase between our Library and Science buildings. We are expecting construction to commence over the upcoming Christmas break, with completion sometime during Term 1.
Quadrangle Redesign
Included in the current scope of works for our Technology Centre Project is a reinvigoration of our Quadrangle space. This will be a staggered program of works with full completion expected by the end of Term 2, 2025.
Music Stairs
We are currently looking into options to replace/modify the existing staircase connecting the Quadrangle to Music. Consideration will also be given to integrating our VET Offices and Canteen area. Concepts have only recently been presented to us; however, we would expect this to be completed as an addition to the current scope of works for our Technology Centre Project.
Staff Car Park Extensions
We are currently finalising plans to add an additional row of parking at the northern end of our main staff car park to provide another 30 car spaces. This is in addition to the reinstatement and remodelling of approximately 30 car spaces in our existing car park in areas that are currently unusable.
