Easter is a wonderful time for us to recharge our batteries and enjoy time with family and friends. It is also a time that we can reflect on what we are grateful for in our lives.

Gratitude is about paying attention to the things that we have right now, and not worrying about what we don’t have. We practise this by noticing the positives that exist around us.

It is all about loving the life we have and not focussing on what we don’t have.

In term 1, Year 9 have been focussing on the positive that exists in our life. For our GRATITUDE – GEM activity we took squares of an item that we are all grateful that we have – toilet paper! We then wrote what we are grateful for on the toilet paper and created a collage.

Here is the top 20 things Year 9 are grateful for:

Family, friends, pets, sunrises, sunsets, rain, sunshine, hugs, sport, coming to Marist, water, where we live, health, plants, food, no iso, phones, life, and music.

We wish all families a safe and restful break and we hope you get a chance to reflect on what you are grateful for.
