Wednesday, 25 August saw Year 7 and  8 students exhibit their Science Investigations in the McAuley Centre and College Principal, Mr Gregg Sharman, present Certificates of Distinction to young researchers whose projects were selected among the top in each age group. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, judging was in digital format, with entrants submitting research folios as pdfs and with judges, located across the NW coast, evaluating each according to set research criteria, and promptly returning their rankings. Students were applauded for the efforts they put into their projects and their parents/guardians, Science teachers, Middle Years’ Laboratory Technician and Middle Years’ Coordinator, Mr Spurr, were congratulated on the support and guidance they offered students on their journeys.  Marist Regional College extends sincere thanks to the judging team who generously gave of their time and expertise and without whom the event would not be possible. 

High achieving researchers were selected to represent Marist Regional College in the UTAS Science and Engineering Investigation Awards the following day (Thursday 26 August) held on site in the Harcombe Centre.
