Attention all AEL High School students! Get ready for an action-packed Term 2 with our exciting esports events. Whether you are a seasoned gamer or a newbie, there’s something for everyone. Here are the details: 

Upcoming Games: 

  1. Rocket League (3v3): Gather your team and prepare for high-octane car soccer matches! 🚗⚽
    2. Overwatch 2 (5v5): Assemble your squad of heroes and dive into intense team-based battles! 🎮🔥
    3. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (1v1): Show off your brawling skills in this iconic Nintendo game! 👊🎮
    4. Trackmania (1v1): Race against the clock and conquer challenging tracks! 🏎️🏁
    5. Minecraft: Capture the Flag (5v5): Explore, build, and strategise in this epic team-based mode! 🌍🚩 

Note:
Minecraft: Capture the Flag will be introduced for play during after-school hours in the week. Stay tuned for more details coming by the end of the week.
All other events will take place on Saturday afternoon from 1pm. 

Livestreamed Events: 

The AEL High School Cup is taking esports to the next level as Rocket League, Overwatch 2, and Trackmania matches will be streamed, allowing you to showcase your skills to a broader audience. Tune in from the comfort of your home or classroom and experience the adrenaline rush firsthand! 🎥👾 

 Registration Details: 

– Team Organisation: Students interested in competing must organise their teams.
– Registration: Email esport@mrc.tas.edu with the following information:
   – Event you wish to compete in
   – Names of all team members
   – Discord IDs
– Cost of Registration: The College will cover the registration fees
– Participation Commitment: We expect all registered students to participate in all events to the best of their ability. 

 Important Dates: 

– Registration Deadline: 22 April at 5:00pm (via Esport Coordinator: Mr S. King – students cannot register themselves)
– Match Schedule: 4 May to 8 June (spread over six weeks) 

Remember, students must be 13 years old prior to the registration deadline to enter.
