‘Over 30 students during Terms 3 & 4 participated in the ASX School Sharemarket Game. Students receive a virtual $50,000 they can invest over a 10-week period, in over 300 companies listed on the ASX. Paranjay Pal in Year 10 took out the TAS state prize after making over $3,000 in his virtual portfolio while the sharemarket as a whole headed noticeably down during the 10 weeks. Paranjay focused on investing in energy stocks, and this ultimately paid dividends.’
