A Certificate II in Engineering Pathways Information Session was held in Cloud 9 on Tuesday 8 November for students interested in an Engineering career pathway. This is a new course we are offering next year to Year 11 and or 12 students. Glynn Burge came along to discuss his career journey over 30 years to parents and students and shared what this trade qualification has offered him – a diverse range of different careers, travel, and work in many different engineering areas. He also discussed the qualification on offer. It was an excellent informal information session.
In summary:
- The Certificate II in Engineering qualification will run over two years, starting in 2023
- Every Wednesday off-campus at TasTAFE Burnie Campus
- 9am – 2.50pm
- Students in Year 12 in 2023 may choose this course, however, they will not receive the full qualification. A partial or Statement of Attainment will be offered instead.
- PPE gear – TasTAFE will offer most equipment needed.
