Well done to high achieving Year 12 students Kaviru, Corey, Aayush, Cooper, Logan-Jack, Alex, Max, Penny, Nichola, Charlotte, Rhiannon, and Lily, all of whom have offered to act as STEM Peer Tutors at the College for 2024. Their role will see tutors supporting peers in a 45-minute one-to-one session each week, in TASC Science and Mathematics courses.

Peer-tutoring helps both tutees and their tutors to develop good time-management and problem-solving skills, and to improve their listening and communication skills. In a win-win manner, we see that when students help each other, everyone is better for it. Research shows that peer-tutoring leads to increases in academic performance, class engagement, peer socialisation, personal self-esteem, and positive attitude toward school, for all involved.

Every success to our Peer Tutors, 2024!
