We’ve had a busy start to Term Two launching our Year 7 and 8 Literacy Program in conjunction with our Global Connections class. With a literacy focus, all students are able to access literacy programs for the first 25 minutes of each Global Connections lesson (4 times per week) where students are divided into groups based on the ‘What I Need Now’ concept. We welcome any feedback from parents on the program.

We have also had the opportunity to host two Parent-Teacher Meetings in our first two weeks, as well as Year 7 Enrolment information Evening, which was lovely to be able to interact with our wider community.

We’re pleased to be able to recommence our Homework Club for any students who would like to join. This will be in the library on Monday and Thursday afternoons from 3:00pm – 4:00pm – all are welcome to attend.

Senior College students were provided with the Mid-Year Exam Timetable during this week to assist with organising schedules. Mid-Year Exams will be held onsite during Week 10. Senior College students are only required to attend school for their exams during this week, with the exception of VET students enrolled in a full certificate who are required to attend their one full day training, unless they have an exam on their timetabled full training day. Please note, the finish time of some exams will mean that students will be unable to catch the bus home and thus alternate transport may have to be arranged.

Mid-Year Reports will be available at the end of Term Two for Year 7-10 students, and Senior College reports will be available from the end of Week Two, Term Three prior to our next Parent-Teacher Meetings in Term Three.

I wish all families a successful Term Two – please do not hesitate to get in touch for any queries on Learning and Teaching.
