What a whirlwind Term 1 has been. It has been wonderful to see the positive start our Year 7’s have made to 2024 and how quickly they have adjusted to Marist Regional College.

There have been many new experiences for students this term from receiving a laptop and learning how to use it, to going on Camp and participating in Swimming and Athletics Carnivals. Students have approached all these activities with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn new things. Their overall participation in the Swimming and Athletics Carnivals is to be commended.

Year 7 Camp was held at Camp Banksia in Port Sorell. This trip allowed students to build friendships with their peers and positive relationships with their teachers. This was achieved through team and class challenges which encouraged them to trust each other and to work together. These are all skills that students will take right through their school journey.

The term break is a great opportunity to check supplies to make sure students have everything they need to be the best learners they can be. As we approach the Term 1 holidays, I encourage all students to take time do the things that bring them joy and to recharge their batteries ready for a fresh start in Term 2. I encourage everyone to continue to be the best versions of themselves and to always seek to bring out the best in others.

Have a great holiday break and we’ll see you back in Term 2.

Be yourself. Everyone else is taken. Anonymous.
